– no natural fiber
Chemically produced materials such as polyester use more energy to produce them. Additionally, petroleum is used in this process. On the other hand, natural substances use more water during production. Polyester furniture covers last a long time because the material is relatively robust and easy to clean. This means it can still be a sustainable choice.
Robust furniture fabrics
The fabrics we use are all very robust because we use upholstery fabrics. Unlike conventional fabrics, these are able to withstand daily wear and tear. Our upholstery fabrics are certified with Öko-Text-Standard 100. They are therefore free of harmful substances, non-toxic and suitable for children.
The Martindale value
Have you ever heard of the Martindale test? It measures how quickly a fabric wears after being rubbed with sandpaper. The higher the Martindale score, the stronger the material. Upholstered furniture should have a Martindale value of at least 15,000 so that it remains beautiful even with regular use. The materials we use even reach a Martindale value of 100,000.
